Executive Office Employee Relations (EOHR) is committed to supporting supervisors in managing employee performance effectively within the Executive Office. Our goal is to ensure that performance concerns are addressed fairly, consistently, and in alignment with University policies.

When to Address Performance Concerns

EOHR Support

  • Guides supervisors in understanding University standards and expectations.
  • Advises on steps to take when performance issues arise.

EO Employee Relations’ Role

Support for Supervisors

  • Assists in evaluating performance concerns and gathering necessary documentation.
  • Guides supervisors in planning meetings with employees, including who should attend and what should be discussed.
  • Ensures compliance with University policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements for represented employees.

Support for Employees

  • Employee Relations may attend meetings to clarify expectations and ensure a fair discussion.
  • Provides guidance to employees about next steps, standards, and available resources.

Resource Access

  • Connects supervisors and employees with relevant University policies, forms, and support services.
  • Offer consultation for follow-up questions or guidance on corrective actions if needed.
